I have not had bacon grilled the way they grill it. Every other hotel I have ever stayed at should come and learn how bacon should be grilled at Upington Protea Hotel. It is a very small detail, but every morning before breakfast I thought I was just lucky the previous morning and 6 mornings out of 6 I was not disapointed. Staff are friendly. I asked to be moved to a room with a river view after the first night, and got moved without a hassle at no extra cost. Wifi is very fast and stable throughout the building. My room was very comfortable and had a great view over the Orange river.

The Room was stunning, beautifully set out, very spacious and an awesome Bathroom.. Breakfast was out of this world with so much variety to choose from. The bunnies ornaments were such a lovely touch too All staff from the cleaning ladies, barman, breakfast waiters to the receptionist were extremely friendly and very helpful. Definitely 10 out of 10

The staff are warm, friendly and professional. The location is safe and secure. Parking is secure and well lit. With load shedding they have a generator which helps so you’re not left in the dark. The restaurant’s meals were great quality. We left early the next day and they packed us a breakfast to go. Worth the stay!
